GETTING TO COMPETA The nearest airport is Malaga which is well served by both scheduled airlines, low cost airlines and package tour airlines. Cómpeta is about 50 km from Málaga, about a one hour drive If you are travelling by car, when you leave the airport you need to get on the main E-15 motorway, eastbound along the coast. Stay on the E-15 for about 25km, following signs for Ronda de Málaga/Motril, heading east. This motorway bypasses Málaga completely. After about 30 mins you'll turn off the motorway signposted ALGARROBO. Turn left at the roundabout at the end of the slip road (marked Algarrobo/Cómpeta) and straight on at the next roundabout nearby. Cómpeta is a 20-30 minute drive from this point – about 15km. On the way you’ll pass though the villages of Algarrobo and Sayalonga – keep going straight on through these villages. The way gets increasingly steep and winding the closer you get to Cómpeta. We recommend hiring a car as it allows you to explore the surrounding areas but if you prefer we can arrange to book a taxi to pick you up from the airport at a cost of around 70 Euros.
