VILLA RENTAL IN COMPETA, ANDALUCIA - FABULOUS POOL, WALKING DISTANCE TO VILLAGE & RESTAURANTS Casita Bonita is a stunning villa situated in the village of Competa in Andalucia, in Southern Spain. It offers the perfect base for a self-guided walking holiday or a relaxing or romantic break or a family holiday. The house sleeps up to 6 adults and is situated next to the Sierra Almijara natural park, just 7 minutes walk into Competa, which offers a good selection of shops and restaurants. Be prepared to be bowled over by the spectacular views and scenery. Competa is situated in the region of Andalucia, known as the Axarquia which is situated to the east of Malaga. This area stretches from Malaga to the east of Nerja and is bordered by the Mediterranean in the south and protected by the mountains to the north. This area of the Costa del Sol is much less developed than the western Costa del Soland yet is just an hour's drive from malaga airport. It is a great spot to relax and get to know the real Spain. The villa is well equipped and furnished to a high standard to offer a comfortable holiday home from home all year round. The beds are made with quality cotton linens and hypoallergenic bedding and the floors are all made from marble which creates a low allergen environment. Outside the villa you have a private garden, terrace and patio and use of a large communal garden with large free form swimming pool. The communal garden is shared by just 10 villas. The villa is maintained and managed by a very efficient local company who are on hand to solve any problems that may arise to ensure that you enjoy a relaxing and trouble free holiday. In the cooler months, whilst the day time temperatures can be warm enough to eat outside, night time temperatures can be chilly; so heating is essential. This is the perfect time to enjoy a walking holiday, go horse riding in the sierras, or play a game of golf or tennis. The villa has electric heating in all the rooms and the sitting room has an efficient wood burner with an ample supply of logs to keep you warm and cosy. In the summer you need a house that is cool and comfortable and Casita Bonita has been designed to take advantage of the cooling breezes that float down from the hills above the villa, ensuring that even when the temperatures are high it remains comfortable and the bedrooms stay cool. In July you can enjoy the Fiesta of San Sabastian and on August 15th the celebrated Noche del Vino which celebrates Competa wine with music and dancing and the opportunity to taste the local delicacy - migas and taste a drop of Competa wine. Experience the moving spectactacle of the Easter passion play performed by the villagers on Good Friday - this is an experience you will remember forever. Competa is well placed to explore the popular cultural sites of Andalucia such as Granada, Cordoba, Ronda and Malaga. You can even book a trip whale watching from Tarifa.
